Why it matters

Drawings assume how a building performs; measurement proves it. On refurbishment and retrofit projects the existing fabric rarely behaves the way the elevations suggest — solid walls, hidden voids, slumped insulation, air-leakage paths and thermal bridges all change what a detail needs to do. We provide the diagnostic baseline that lets you design from evidence rather than assumption, and the verification that protects you at handover.

Common questions

Can you work alongside our practice on a single detail or a whole project?

Both. We are often brought in for a one-off hygrothermal model on a tricky IWI junction, and equally to baseline and verify a whole-house deep retrofit. We work to your programme and report to your team.

Are you independent of product manufacturers?

Yes. Our diagnostics and specifications are manufacturer-neutral. We recommend build-ups on building-physics grounds, not on a supply relationship.

Do you provide CPD or design-stage workshops?

We can run informal design-stage sessions on airtightness strategy, moisture-safe IWI and thermal-bridge-free detailing for project teams. Get in touch to arrange.
